The Three Pillars - Am Yisrael, Torat Yisrael, Eretz Yisrael

For close to twenty year, Rav David Milston, Rosh HaMidrasha at Midreshet HaRova in the Old City of Jerusalem, has delivered a weekly shiur in Parshat Hashavua to his students. These shiurim, much loved by the student body, have been the inspiration for the creation of a new series of Parshat HaShavua shiurim, collected and printed by Midreshet HaRova, and made available to the general public in a new publication, The Three Pillars.
The essays on Torah weave classical and modern day commentaries into messages for the contemporary Jew. Based on the foundations of Am Yisrael, Torat Yisrael and Eretz Yisrael, Rav Milston elucidates the ideals of Judaism through the medium of Parshat Hashavua.
Originally from London, Rav Milston was a talmid muvhak of Rabbi Yitzchak Bernstein, zt"l, and studied under Rabbis Yehuda Amital, zt"l and Aharon Lichtenstein at Yeshiva Har Etzion in Gush Etzion, Israel. He lives with his wife and six children in Alon Shvut, Gush Etzion.
