Glikl bas Judah Leib

Glikl bas Judah Leib, also known as Glikl of Hameln, was born in 1646 in Hamburg, Germany, and died in 1724. She is best known for her memoirs, which are among the earliest known autobiographies by a Jewish woman. Written in Yiddish, Glikl's diaries provide a detailed account of the life of a Jewish woman in early modern Europe, covering a wide range of topics from personal and family life to business and community affairs.
