Leo Jung

Rabbi Dr. Leo Jung (1892-1987) was a prominent Orthodox rabbi and a major figure in the development of Orthodox Judaism in America. Born in Hungary and educated in Germany, he served as the rabbi of the Jewish Center in New York City for over 40 years. A scholar in Jewish law and ethics, Jung was also known for his writings and lectures on Jewish philosophy and modern challenges to traditional Jewish life.
