Mordechai Hager

Mordechai Hager was a prominent Hasidic rabbi and the leader of the Vizhnitz Hasidic dynasty in Monsey, New York. Born in 1922 in Oradea, Romania, he survived the Holocaust and later moved to the United States where he established a large Hasidic community. Rabbi Hager was known for his deep religious scholarship and dedication to the spiritual and material welfare of his followers. He authored several religious texts that are highly regarded in the Hasidic community. Rabbi Hager passed away in 2018, leaving behind a legacy of religious leadership and community development. His teachings continue to inspire many within the Hasidic world, emphasizing the importance of piety, Torah study, and communal responsibility.
