King David
King David, a central figure in Jewish history, is traditionally credited with the authorship of many of the Psalms in the Book of Psalms (Tehillim), which is a part of the Hebrew Bible. David was the second king of the United Kingdom of Israel and Judah, reigning in the 10th century BCE. His life and reign are described in the Hebrew Bible, particularly in the books of Samuel, Kings, and Chronicles. Besides his political and military leadership, David is famous for his diverse skills as a warrior, musician, and poet, which endeared him to the Jewish people as a cultural and spiritual icon.
