Rabbi Yehuda HaNasi
Rabbi Yehuda HaNasi, also known as Judah the Prince, is credited with the compilation of the Mishnah, a major written redaction of the Jewish oral traditions known as the Oral Torah. He was born around 135 CE and died about 217 CE. Rabbi Yehuda HaNasi was a pivotal figure in Jewish history, serving as the leader of the Jewish community in the Land of Israel during a time of Roman persecution. Under his leadership, the oral traditions were systematically compiled, which helped preserve Jewish law and tradition through a period of great turmoil.
