Eliʻezer Melamed

Rabbi Eliezer Melamed is a prominent Israeli Modern Orthodox rabbi, educator, and author, particularly known for his comprehensive series of books on Jewish law called 'Peninei Halacha'. Rabbi Melamed serves as the rosh yeshiva (head) of Yeshivat Har Bracha, located in the settlement of Har Bracha on Mount Gerizim near Nablus in the West Bank. Born in 1961, he studied at Yeshivat Mercaz HaRav in Jerusalem, one of the primary centers of religious-Zionist Torah study in Israel.

Under his leadership, Yeshivat Har Bracha has grown significantly, attracting students from Israel and abroad who are drawn to his teachings on Torah, Halacha (Jewish law), and religious Zionism. Rabbi Melamed is known for his moderate and inclusive approach to both religious and secular communities in Israel, advocating for unity and understanding among different sectors of Israeli society.

His 'Peninei Halacha' series has become widely popular for its clear, concise, and practical explanations of Jewish law, covering a vast range of topics from daily rituals to holidays and family purity laws.
