Rabbi Chanan Morrison

Rabbi Chanan Morrison is an acclaimed scholar and writer of Jewish thought, with a focus on the teachings of Rav Kook. Growing up in Pennsylvania, USA, Rabbi Morrison graduated with a B.A. in Mathematics from Yeshiva University in New York. He then pursued advanced Talmudic studies in Israel, studying for seven years in Jerusalem yeshivot, including the famed Yeshivat Mercaz HaRav, founded in 1924 by Rav Kook.

Rabbi Morrison has published several books translating and explaining Rav Kook's writings, including: Gold from the Land of Israel, Silver from the Land of Israel, and Sapphire from the Land of Israel. His articles are frequently featured on the Israel National News website, as well as his own website: www.ravkooktorah.org. He was a finalist in the 2010 National Jewish Book Award in the category of Modern Jewish Thought and Experience.

Rabbi Morrison lives in a community in the Judean Desert with his family, where he works as a software developer by day. His passion for exploring the teachings of Rav Kook continues to inspire and guide his readers.
