Leah Goldberg

Leah Goldberg was a prolific Israeli poet, author, playwright, translator, and researcher. Born in 1911 in Königsberg, Prussia (now Kaliningrad, Russia), she moved to Mandatory Palestine in 1935, where she became a significant figure in Hebrew literature. Goldberg studied at the universities of Berlin and Bonn, and she received her PhD in Semitic languages from the University of Bonn. Her academic and literary work contributed greatly to Israeli culture and Hebrew literature.

Throughout her career, Goldberg wrote numerous poems, children's books, and plays.
