Joey Weisenberg

Joey Weisenberg is a leading voice in the revival of Jewish communal singing and a multi-instrumental musician. He serves as the Creative Director of Hadar's Rising Song Institute, which aims to cultivate the grassroots musical-spiritual creativity of the Jewish people. Joey has composed a large body of music that is sung in communities around the world and has released seven albums with the Hadar Ensemble.

Joey is also an educator who trains communities around the world to unlock their musical-spiritual potential and make music a vibrant, joyous, and integral part of Jewish life. He is the author of several books, including 'Building Singing Communities' and 'The Torah of Music,' which explore the power of music to influence spiritual and communal life.

Before his current roles, Joey earned a degree in music from the University of Wisconsin and studied spiritual music traditions from around the world. His work is deeply influenced by his studies and his passion for music as a tool for community engagement and spiritual experience.
