Norman Lamm

Norman Lamm was an American Modern Orthodox rabbi, scholar, and leader. Born on December 19, 1927, in Brooklyn, New York, he served as the president of Yeshiva University for nearly three decades, significantly influencing Jewish education and Modern Orthodoxy in America. Lamm was a prolific author and speaker, known for his eloquence and depth of knowledge in Jewish law, philosophy, and ethics.

During his tenure at Yeshiva University, starting in 1976, Lamm played a crucial role in the institution's development, both academically and financially.
