Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach

Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach (1925-1994) was a Jewish rabbi, religious teacher, composer, and singer who is considered one of the most influential figures in contemporary Jewish religious music. Born in Berlin, Germany, he immigrated to the United States to escape the Nazis, settling in New York City. Carlebach is known for his unique style of singing and storytelling, which blends traditional Jewish themes with modern musical styles.
