Moshe Arens
Moshe Arens was an Israeli aeronautical engineer, researcher, diplomat, and Likud politician who served as a member of the Knesset, as Minister of Defense, and as Israeli ambassador to the United States. Born in Kaunas, Lithuania, in 1925, Arens moved with his family to the United States where he pursued higher education, earning a degree in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a master's degree in aeronautical engineering from the California Institute of Technology. He moved to Israel in 1948, where he became deeply involved in politics and defense, contributing significantly to the state's military and political landscape.
