Rabbi Shmuel Bornsztain
Rabbi Shmuel Bornsztain (1856-1926) was the second Sochatchover Rebbe, a prominent Hasidic dynasty. He is best known by the title of his main work, Shem Mishmuel, which is a collection of his teachings on the Torah and Jewish holidays. Rabbi Bornsztain was known for his deep insight into Jewish law and mysticism, and he led the community through the challenging times of World War I, maintaining a strong spiritual and educational stance.
