Serge Klarsfeld

Serge Klarsfeld is a Romanian-born French activist and Nazi hunter known for documenting the Holocaust in order to establish the records of Jewish deportations by Vichy France authorities. He is a lawyer and the vice-president of the Foundation for the Memory of the Shoah. His activism includes legal pursuits against Nazi war criminals and collaboration with various organizations to maintain the memory of the Holocaust’s impact in France. Alongside his wife, Beate, Serge has played a significant role in various high-profile cases against such figures as Klaus Barbie, René Bousquet, and Paul Touvier, which has been instrumental in bringing them to justice.
