Ramael Scully

Ramael Scully, known as Scully, is a chef with a diverse and international background. Born in Malaysia and raised in Sydney, Australia, Scully has developed a culinary style that reflects his multicultural heritage. He began his career in the culinary world working in various kitchens around Sydney before moving to London, where he joined Yotam Ottolenghi’s team. Scully played a pivotal role at Ottolenghi’s restaurant NOPI, where he was the head chef and contributed to the creation of many innovative dishes that the restaurant is famous for. His cooking combines elements from Asian, Middle Eastern, and European cuisines, creating a unique fusion that has been celebrated in the culinary scene. Scully’s expertise and creativity have been instrumental in developing the distinctive flavor profiles that NOPI’s dishes are known for. He has also co-authored 'NOPI: The Cookbook' with Yotam Ottolenghi, which showcases many of the restaurant’s popular recipes. Scully continues to inspire with his inventive approach to cooking, blending techniques and ingredients from across the globe to produce exciting and flavorful dishes.
