Ruth Kark

Ruth Kark is a Professor Emerita in the Department of Geography at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She has extensively researched and published on the historical geography of Palestine and Israel, focusing on the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Her work often explores the themes of land ownership, territorial disputes, and the role of women in these historical contexts. Kark's scholarship has contributed significantly to the understanding of the socio-political and cultural transformations in the region, particularly in relation to the Zionist movement and the British Mandate period.
