Rona Ramon
Rona Ramon was the wife of Ilan Ramon, Israel's first astronaut who tragically died in the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster in 2003. Following her husband's death, Rona became a public figure in Israel, dedicating her life to preserving the legacy of her husband and promoting educational initiatives in science and space. She established the Ramon Foundation, which inspires young Israelis to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Rona's work focused on creating programs that encourage innovation and leadership among youth. She was also an advocate for grief counseling and support for families affected by tragedy.
