Ellen Frankel
Ellen Frankel served as the Editor-in-Chief and CEO of The Jewish Publication Society in Philadelphia, one of the oldest nonprofit publishers of Jewish books in the United States. She earned her BA from the University of Michigan and her PhD in Comparative Literature from Princeton University. Frankel has written extensively in the fields of Jewish folklore, feminism, and cultural history, and has authored numerous books, including 'The Classic Tales: 4,000 Years of Jewish Lore' and 'The Encyclopedia of Jewish Symbols'. Her work often explores themes of Jewish identity and culture, aiming to make Jewish texts accessible to broader audiences.
