Donniel Hartman

Donniel Hartman is the President of the Shalom Hartman Institute and the Director of the iEngage Project. He has a deep commitment to the future of Jewry in the State of Israel and the Diaspora. His extensive publication record includes articles in journals of Jewish thought, books on philosophy and Jewish law, and most recently a book on the philosophical framework of modern Orthodoxy.

Educated at Yeshiva University and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, his work spans Jewish thought, ethics, and the interface between religion and contemporary politics. Donniel Hartman is a prominent speaker and teacher, engaging with audiences on issues of Jewish law, ethics, and philosophy.
